Giddy
Given the resurgence of the garage-rock minimalist formula, it’s still refreshing at times to see a wild-on, 5-plus member band clamor with ramshackle sensibilities through giddy and experimentally woven songs. That band is Los Campesinos! and on their newest record Romance is Boring the group quite clearly has pulled out all of the stops, crafting blaring, celebratory indie-rock gems with multi-level instrumentation and meticulously crafted baroque storytelling to form a triumph of a record that stands alongside their best material. Give a listen below if you don’t believe, but definitely catch this group as soon as possible if they’re touring through your area!
