Breaking National Band Showcase
Today’s breaking national band is Be Your Own PET, a garage-rock foursome out of Nashville, Tennessee helmed by Jemima Pearl, a fearsome lead with the look of Debbie Harry and the shriek of Karen O. Known for their angular guitar-work and rowdy live shows, the band’s members, all barely out of high school, are hard at work on their followup to their excellent self-titled debut, entitled Get Awkward.
